This year at Fusion Festival sees the UK’s hottest chart topping, record breaking artists heading to Liverpool to see out the summer in style. Making their UK exclusive festival appearances for this year are Little Mix and Take That, the headline acts with a full line up of classic hits and fresh singles. They’ll be joined by firm favourites from this year’s charts including Tinie Tempah, the Vamps, John Newman, Ella Henderson, Louisa Johnson, 5 After Midnight, JP Cooper and Jax Jones.
In previous years, Fusion Festival UK has brought the likes of Ed Sheeran, Rudimental, Craig David and Olly Murs. Five years old, Fusion is going from strength to strength, having moved from Birmingham to Liverpool in 2016.
All the artists will be performing on the world famous waterfront of the River Mersey; a spectacular backdrop that embodies so much musical history. Liverpool was recognised as a City of Music by the UN in 2015, and named the ‘City of Pop’ in 2001 by Guinness Book of Records. And it’s easy to see why. The Zutons. The Coral. The La’s. Dead or Alive. Gerry and the Pacemakers. The late, great Cilla Black. It almost seems like overkill to mention The Beatles.
Small wonder then that an event as fresh as Fusion has decided to relocate to Liverpool. They’ve teamed up with Capital FM, whose recent move to the city sees them stamping their mark on the musical scene by bringing in more talent and non-stop music.
There may not be a camping option at Fusion, but with Otterspool Promenade being so close to the city’s nightlife, it barely matters. Liverpool’s bar scene ranks among the best in the world, with nearby indie bar Camp and Furnace recently ranked one of the best in the UK.
Early bird tickets are available with General admission day tickets just costing £39 for the Saturday or the Sunday. If you are a resident with a L17, L18 or L19 postcode you can purchase tickets at half the price using promo code RESIDENTS.
