So you’ve bagged your ticket and are heading down to London’s East End for Lovebox. Groove Armada’s dance festival returns to Victoria Park again this July for another weekend of live music from some of the best acts in the world. If you’re not sure of what to take, have no fear – we’ve got you covered with our handy festival checklist for all those must-have essentials.Entry Ticket and ID – You won’t get very far without these. Security will check your ticket on entry and you may need to prove you’re over 18 to get the drinks in.
Mobile Phone – Sounds like a no-brainer but as well as helping you keep track of your mates, it’s all you need to access your Megabus reservation email before your journey.
Portable Phone Charger – Along with your mobile phone, a portable phone charger is a must. There’s nothing worse than running out of battery in the middle of an epic performance.
Money/Cash Card – There will be some cash machines onsite but you don’t want to waste valuable time queuing when could be watching Major Lazer or Stormzy.
Emergency Cash – It’s unlikely that things will go wrong, but if they do you don’t want to be stuck with no cash to buy food and drinks. Play it safe and keep a spare stash of cash hidden in your phone case or in your shoe.
Water – An essential to help you keep cool and stay hydrated. Upon entry, you can bring in one sealed plastic bottle of water into the festival and there will be drinking water points located throughout the site.
All-Weather Clothing – It may be the summer but whatever the forecast, a waterproof jacket is a safe bet. Keep the rest of your clothes lightweight so you’re cool and comfortable in case of a heatwave.
Sun Cream – As you’re going to be outdoors all weekend, shield yourself against sunburn with an SPF lotion or cream.
